My jeans, Levi Strauss

I have a set of clothing of Levi Strauss & Co. It contains a trouser called blue jeans, a jacket, a hat, sunglasses, and a belt.

In 1969, when I passed from Senior High School, I received a second hand Levi,S jacket from my best friend called Bemby. Of course the Levi,S jacket was one of dreaming proverty wished by young generation. I was 17 years old. I’m very excited for first time I wore the Levi,S. I was proud, I felt more handsome than before.

Six years later, when I had an occupation, worked in Telephone State’s Owner Company at Yogyakarta City, Indonesia, at the first time I was able to buy The Levis trouser. This was a memorable event about clothing that I ever had brought. The clothing company from San Fransisco, California, USA, make me confident.

Yesterday, 7^th February, 2010, I bought a Levis Jacket. The price is 800 thousand rupiahs (about 80 US Dollars). The jacket be produced by Levis Philippine. It was different with my Levis troucer that I had bought at last December 2009. The Blue Jeans have been produced by Levis China.

As a complement I also bought Levis Sunglasses. The cover for it made by blue jeans with a metal button of Levis as an identifying mark. Inside of cover written “LEVIS quality eyewear”.

Another accessories are Belt and Hat. The thick leather belt classic model is the strong one. The hat made from blue jeans with picture a Red Star and written Levi Strauss by white yarn . Behind of the hat there is a white metal buckle inscribed with LEVIS. The hat made in Levis China.

Levis, in my mind, not only give the customers a function benefit from the products but also a psychological benefit. I am a customer. I feel satisfied. I am happy. Thank you Levis. I meet the value for money from you.

My Trendy Camera : OLYMPUS

When I was 25 years old I have ever had an Olympus View Finder camera. A small one. The body was silver and black. Simple operating. Light in weight, easy to carry, and stylist at that time. A lot of memories in my first life, after I got married, had been taken by this. White-Black and also colors. One advantage of this camera was the efficiency. It only used a half of negative film. So the film had 36 exp capacity by another one, become used twice, 72 exposes by the Olympus. A shortage of this camera, as View Finder another camera in general, is about the lens cap. Don’t forget to open the cap. Because you always be able to see the object even-though the lens are still closed. So if you shoot it, there isn’t any image can be caught.

Ricoh 500 SLR

As a young journalist I changed my camera. From the View Finder system to the Single Lense Reflector (SLR). But still used film as a media. I didn’t worry about the lens cap. If I forgot to open the cap, the object disappeared in screen.

Yasica Box for large film.

Journalist sometimes received special duties. At that time my editor needed an image for the cover of magazine. I should take the picture by positive and large film. So I bought Yasica Box Camera. Many pictures had been taken, as Borobudur or Prambanan Temple then became the illustration covering the magazine.

Canon SLR

In 1989 I went to Japan for a short course. In Tokyo I bought Canon E1 SLR Camera. Black body and was rather heavier than Ricoh 500. The price was also more expensive than Ricoh. The camera supported undertaking my duties as a journalist.

Olympus DSLR E-420

Now I have already bought the Olympus DSLR E-420. I spent money about six and half million rupiahs (about 650 US Dollars). This camera is nice to be used. It can be brought in pocket of your jacket (if you use pancake lens). Many features are obtained using this one.

This camera is equipped with a clear Viewfinder, nice Super control panel, and wide LCD monitor for live view or play-back. When I bought it, the camera seller gave a set of camera and the accessories consisted of: body cap, strap, BLS-1 Lithium ion battery, BCS-1 Lithium ion charger, USB Cable, video cable, Software Olympus Master 2 CD-ROM, Instruction manual book, Warranty Card, eyepiece cover, 14-42 mm/3.2-5.6 f lense, 40-150 mm/4-5.6 f tele-lens, Memory Card Scandisk UltraII 2 GB, and a lense hood LH 61-C.

With this digital camera I don’t need to worry about the film. All of digital cameras use virtual film that can be operated in many purposes. The images that had been taken can be deleted, over-writen or moved to another media. No film inside. Just Memory card is inside. Take the pictures as much as I can, fit in with the capacity of memory card.

Now I still learn with my new camera. I have got many good pictures by it. I am enjoying this tool.

I have the Olympus one, and I am completely proud. For me, the first camera was Olympus, the last camera, I hope, will be my Olympus too. Thank you Olympus!

My Shoes, The Secret of Reebok for Tennis Player

I’m not the best player in tennis sport. But I like it very much. More than 30 years I have played tennis. Until now I still play the game at least 3 times a week. I get healthy, new friends and fun.

What should I do before playing tennis? Of course I must have at least one racket. I wear sport shirt, shorts and t-shirt. For my feet I wear shoes and shocks.

These attributes and accessories are important for players. Racket, for example, must be fit with your anatomy, your power and type of stroke. Player also considers what kind of tennis ball should be used, and what kind of tennis yard where the game will be played on.

If I pay attention on my experience in playing tennis, sport shoes are very important to support your ability. The shoes not only support your action in match but also save your foot from injury that is redoubtable by all of players.

What kind of shoes should I choose? First, I must choose that the shoes are for playing tennis. And then, the size of shoes must fit on my feet. Too small size will affect the feet hurt. Too large size will not make your steps energetic.

Many brands of tennis sports shoes that can be bought now. For example: Reebok, Nike, Lotto, Adidas, Puma, Diadora, Filla and varies of local brands. I have asked my partner in double game about the reason his choice on shoes. He said, “I like Reebok because these shoes are light in weight, softly inside lining and good damping. No injury and no wart grow on sole of foot”

Since I hear his sound I wear Reebok shoes too. And, yes …. Wearing Reebok I feel so good in playing tennis.
